‘Mirror, Mirror'

What does a Feminist look like? This question prompts us to challenge the stigma surrounding ‘The Feminist,’ specifically, the preconceived ideas regarding what this person might look like and what this person should look like in order to be seen as a ‘valid’ feminist. Often this involves the common misconception that this person should be anti-feminine. This series explores this idea and challenges it as a Feminist can be a man or a woman, they can be feminine or masculine or androgynous, they can be anything and they will be completely valid irrespective of what this looks like. The series, ‘Mirror, Mirror,’ not only references the contents of my images but is also a play on the popular Disney film Snow White - may we ask, Mirror, Mirror on the wall who is the most Feminist looking of them all? 

We cannot answer that. If you are a feminist, then you simply are, and if you are a feminist and would like to answer that question for yourself then simply look in the mirror as that is all it takes.
